PowerFlow

PowerFlow is a device that increases the amount of fuel supplied to the engine by 5% with each injection. The original fuel supply is very poor, so PowerFlow makes the engine more lubricated and cooler, which ensures greater reliability and maximizes Power & Torque. Unlike other systems, PowerFlow is completely compatible with the EURO5 Plus standard, never generating any type of error or or absence of enrichment after a time.

EURO5 PLUS READY

PowerFlow is a widely tested device with more than 800 satisfied users worldwide. It has electronics capable of detecting the main control unit’s queries and generating correct reports. In this way, the main control unit does not suspect that there is any external device and therefore does not generate errors or enter fail-safe mode.
EURO5 and later control units perform an active search for elements that interfere with the petrol supply, both while running and at rest. The previous devices that modified the IAT sensor reading continuously altered the reading, which was not taken into account by the EURO4 or previous standards. However, control units that comply with the EURO5 and later standards also perform checks at rest, that is, with the motorcycle turned off. One of the cases is to check the value of the IAT sensor after several hours of rest. This value should be the same as that of the coolant temperature sensor, since the motorcycle is cold. With the previous enrichment systems, these two values: air temperature (IAT) and coolant temperature will always be different, so the motorcycle’s ECU will detect anomalous values that will lead to:

  • Engine error, or
  • Invalidation of the IAT reading, so it will always work as if it were 25ºC. Conclusion: from a certain point on there will be no extra gasoline enrichment.
This is what happens with pre-EURO5 enrichment systems.
The PowerFlow, due to its electronics, is able to make the ECU see that everything is fine and will always generate an extra 5% of gasoline in a stable manner.

The benefits we obtain are:

Greater engine lubrication & Vibration reduction

Less heating of the engine and valves

Less heating of the engine and valves

Better response and torque in bass and midrange revs

Elimination of the on-off effect of the engine, which greatly benefits driving on roads and trails at low speed since the control over the accelerator is much finer.

More thrust when accelerating

ON-OFF SWITCH

PowerFlow requires about half an hour to install.
It has a switch to activate or deactivate its enrichment function:

  • When on, it generates 5% fuel enrichment
  • When off, the motorcycle has the standard petrol supply.
The off function has the advantage of being able to be used, for example, in the following cases:
  • Visit to the Vehicle Inspection: the emission parameters will be normal.
  • Road sections where we want to minimize consumption as much as possible.

Torque & Power

  • PowerFlow Benefits
A customer from America, send us his Dyno test of PowerFlow in Voge 300 Rally (26 HP), original and decat exaust. Three HP gain with PowerFlow, FilterFlow & decat exhaust. Two hp gain with PowerFlow alone. As you can see in the graph, the best combination is powerflow + high flow filter + decatalyzed exhaust. This configuration increases power and torque at low and medium revolutions (3000-6500).

It can also be seen that the use of only a decatalyzed exhaust causes it to lose some power and torque at low revolutions compared to the original (stock) bike, although it makes it stretch more.

On the other hand, the combination of PowerFlow and filter with the original exhaust also represents a clear improvement (2 HP) compared to the original or decatalyzed exhaust alone. Finally, comment that the increase in power at low-medium revolutions reaches a wonderful 3 hp. More than 10% improvement in power and torque right in the ideal rev range for this type of motorcycle.

POWERFLOW EURO5

PowerFlow is a widely tested device with more than 500 satisfied users worldwide. It has electronics capable of detecting queries from the main control unit and generating correct reports. In this way, the main control unit does not suspect that there is any external device and therefore does not generate errors or enter fail-safe mode.
EURO5 control units actively search for elements that interfere with the fuel supply, both while running and at rest. Previous devices that modified the IAT sensor reading continually altered the reading, which was not taken into account by the EURO4 or previous standards.

HOW DOES POWERFLOW EURO 5 PLUS WORK?

PowerFlow EURO 5 Plus has electronics inside the circular box, that act in such a way that when the motorcycle is on, an extra supply of 5% of fuel is generated, by altering the ambient temperature, making the ECU see that the temperature of the air entering the cylinder is lower. Colder air has more mass, so it needs more fuel to maintain the stoichiometric ratio of 14.7 parts air to 1 part fuel (lean fuel ratio, but it is the one stipulated by EURO standards). In this way, the stoichiometric ratio goes up to 13.5 which generates more powerful explosions and increases torque and power.

What makes PowerFlow EURO 5 Plus different from other pre-EURO 5 systems is that when the bike is off, PowerFlow tells the ECU the original temperature, which after several hours, with the bike cold and off, will be the same as the coolant temperature. In this way the ECU will not detect PowerFlow EURO5 Plus as an added foreign device and therefore will never generate an error and will continue to generate an extra 5% enrichment.

POWERFLOW MINI

An old enrichment design, valid only for EURO4 and earlier European versions. We do not recommend for Voge 300 Rally because it is a EURO5 or EURO5 Plus motorcycle.

This design was popularized by Booster Plug who distributed many thousands of units worldwide, for all types of bikes. This same company stopped supplying it for 2021 models onwards, because they confirmed that it was an INVALID design FOR EURO 5 MOTORCYCLES. You can read about it on their website:

The EURO5 standard in Bosch ECUs has verification algorithms to identify connected external devices. For example, a typical algorithm compares coolant temperatures with the air sensor temperature when the bike has been stopped for more than 6 hours. At that time the air and coolant temperatures should be identical, but with this type of pre-EURO5 devices the air temperature will be 10-15 degrees lower. Therefore the ECU will detect the external device. In this situation, the EURO5 ECU can act in two different ways:
1.- Generating an error message
2.- Not generating an error message but ignoring the temperature sensor values, so the bike would run without enrichment.
You can find all this in the BOSCH documentation.
